Company Lunch! What a great experience! The waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations, I felt well taken care of, food was amazing, the flavors in each dish were perfectly balanced, and the ingredients tasted incredibly delicious, the steak was cooked to perfection, the perfect ending to a great meal, the dessert selection was impressive, and each one was delicious.
I would rate this way more if I could! Outstanding service done by our waiter, Anthony Ruiz, you have done an amazing job sir! Food was fabulous! I do look forward coming again during my next stay in the area!
We celebrated Thanksgiving at The Capital Grille this year, and both my husband and my son truly enjoyed the Thanksgiving meal. They said everything was wonderful and perfectly prepared. I, however, stayed loyal to my favorites and ordered my usual steak, cooked exactly the way I love it, along with their signature mushrooms and asparagus. I’m sorry I didn’t get to photograph my steak untouched, as always, I dove right into it the moment it arrived ;)) That’s just how delicious it is every single time! And of course, we finished the evening with my favorite desserts, which are always the perfect ending to any dinner here. As always, The Capital Grille impressed us with its warm atmosphere and exceptional service. I feel incredibly comfortable every time I’m here, thanks to the entire staff from the Front Desk to our wonderful servers. Another memorable evening. We’ll definitely be back!
We had an absolutely unforgettable experience at The Capital Grille last night while celebrating our engagement, a baby on the way, and a birthday — and so much of that was thanks to our incredible waiter, Holden. From the moment we sat down, Holden made us feel genuinely welcomed and celebrated. His attention to detail, warmth, and professionalism were unmatched. He paced the meal perfectly, gave excellent recommendations, and went above and beyond to make our special night feel truly personal and memorable. The food was outstanding from start to finish — perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious — but the service is what really elevated the entire evening. Holden turned a great dinner into a once-in-a-lifetime memory for us. The Capital Grille is a top-tier choice for special occasions or when you want a guaranteed amazing meal.
They made my birthday feel special. I’m so absolutely bummed that I left my birthday card there because they put so much effort into it but they signed a card for me and even had birthday confetti on my table. Our experience at The Capital Grille was absolutely outstanding. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, elegant, and welcoming. The food was exceptional perfectly prepared, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. What truly set the evening apart, however, was the service. Chad was an exceptional waiter attentive, professional, and genuinely thoughtful. He anticipated our needs, made excellent recommendations, and ensured everything was seamless from start to finish. His attention to detail elevated the entire dining experience. We visit the Mayo Clinic regularly, and this will now be our go-to restaurant every time we are in town. We look forward to coming back.

Absolutely phenomenal. From the moment we walked in and grabbed a drink at the bar—a French 75 made by Amanda (highly recommend it, along with her bubbly personality!)—the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Our waiter, James, was experienced, engaging, and a true joy to be around, making the entire dining experience flawless from start to finish. The steak was cooked to perfection—exceptionally tender and bursting with flavor—and the sides were just as impressive. We enjoyed a bottle of the legendary Mercury Head wine, which the manager, Dan Skewers, personally brought over and decanted while sharing his appreciation and knowledge of the wine. That personal touch truly elevated the evening. You can tell this restaurant cares deeply about quality, consistency, and the overall guest experience. As a self-proclaimed foodie who has dined at some of the finest Michelin- and James Beard–recognized establishments, I can confidently say this Capital Grille is on par with the very best I’ve ever had. Dan, the head chef, and their outstanding team are clearly the reason why. HIGHLY recommend this Capital Grille! I will continue to support and frequent for all of the above reasons. I've been many places and this is going to rank right up there at the top. Couldn't ask for a better experience. All the food I tried was amazing. The calamari with peppers!? I never want calamari any other way again. My steak, I decided to try their porcini rubbed steak. It was delicious, almost more like a desert! It was awesome, not the most expensive steak I've ever had but one of the most flavorful. I ate as much of it as I could get off the bone, had I not been in good company i would of picked the bone up with my bare hands to finish it off. The tuna appetizer brought my favorite flavors together, sweet an heat. Everything from the mashed potatoes to the entrée was great and the wait staff was fantastically accommodating considering we had 6 and my 6 month old.
